As I review our contracts that were completed in 2011, I noticed the infrared scanning, switchgear cleaning, and breaker testing orders were down 75%. I feel like this will create some big emergency repair jobs in the coming months and years.

Louisville Free Public Library Job Update
Here is a quick video we shot down at the Louisville Free Public Library. The library suffered some damage during the flood of 2009. Meiners Electric played a role in the renovation work and Tim talks briefly about it in this latest video.

Recent customer testimonials- this is what it’s all about
In a service business, testimonials like the ones below are what drive us. We talk a lot about service being the lifeblood of our electrical contracting business. We also talk about how are attitude determines our altitude.
So it’s very uplifting to get unsolicited testimonials like these from our customers.
Here are two we’ve received in recent weeks.
Testimonial #1
Guys…I’ve got nothing else to say but simply…OUTSTANDING!!…and THANK YOU!!…regarding Andy’s performance and the help Meiners Electric provided on the UPS Columbus project last week. Really, I can’t emphasize enough how well Andy performed and the amount of praise I have heard from UPS and DCI regarding his attitude, work ethic and overall performance. Please pass my personal thanks and gratitude on to him for a job very well done and let him know how much everyone appreciates the sacrifices he made to help us out in a difficult situation last week.
_Thanks again,

Testimonial #2
Meiners Electric took special care on June 11 to make sure they were correctly managing a mercury containing thermostat which they removed from the plant.
They stopped by Hazardous Waste and asked what the correct procedure was here at the station.
We showed them where to put it ( mercury containing equipment drums in 1 basement hazardous Waste satellite area), how to log it in.
Meiners also did a nice job of obtaining an appropriately sized cardboard box with bubble wrap and secured the thermostat to make sure it would not break in transit or normal handling.
Please send on a thank you for this.
It makes the environmental job much better when folks ask first and work with us so well.
Ever wanted to check on your office or shop from home?
If you’re like most business owners, you’re never really off work. You’re thinking about the office even when you’re at home or on vacation. In the past the only way to check in on your office, store or shop was to physically drive there. If you’re reading this and you’re not the business owner, no big deal. If you’re in charge of maintenance, security or office management at a business, you can be the hero by championing this cutting edge idea.
What’s the idea? To make your building and assets more secure and more accessible at the same time. How is that possible? Well at Meiners Electric we’ve helped small businesses, big businesses, non profits and schools add video surveillance to their premises. Here is the best part- you can access it from home on your computer or even on the road from a laptop. Instant access to your office, store or shop premises from any Internet connection.
You’re probably thinking a service like video surveillance costs a fortune and takes forever to implement. Nope. It’s affordable, quick to install and we also offer ongoing support options.
Just think. No more late night trips into the shop to check and see if the truck was returned. Less worrying about theft from your retail store, office or practice. Let’s face it, the weather hasn’t exactly been predictable lately and watching your shop online can give some peace of mind in inclement weather. And you get to put up one of those signs that says “go ahead and do whatever- we’re watching you ….”
If you want to speak to someone about adding video surveillance to your commercial or industrial property, contact Matt Williams online at Meiners Electric, call him at 502-376-1126 or email him matt [at] meiners-electric [dot] com.
Electrical Contracting Services around Louisville KY
We thought we’d do a summary of everything we’ve had going on over the last few months here at Meiners Electric. First off to keep everyone who’s tuned in up to date, and secondly to showcase some of the different services we provide. We’ve tackled some major projects this winter like the work at Bowling Green Medical Center, the Trimble County Eon plant and the renovation of the Louisville Free Public Library. It was severely damaged by floods this past fall. We’re also upgrading controls at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort KY.
We’re doing some of our routine shut down work for LG&E, our normal infrared scanning and fiber splice work at Humana and maintenance check ups for each new Walgreens.
No commercial or electrical job is too small. This winter included relighting Calvary Episcopal Chapel and the first floor renovation at Builders Exchange. We also installed the lighting controls for all Chase Bank branches and performed a switch-gear scan at Nazareth Homes.
When searching for an electrical contractor in Louisville KY, we want you to know the large array of commercial and industrial services we provide. We work for some of the biggest brands in Greater Louisville but also for some of the smallest mom and pops too.

Since coming on board, Kirk has updated our safety program and vigorously inspected our jobs to assure a safe work environment.
