We hired a new safety director

At Meiners Electric, we take safety serious.

Recently, we’ve taken the step to bring someone onboard to oversee our safety program. We’d like to introduce you to Kirk Berglund, who will be handling our in house and jobsite safety initiatives.

Since coming on board, Kirk has updated our safety program and vigorously inspected our jobs to assure a safe work environment.

We look forward to doing some creative things to promote safety at Meiners Electric. Look for more posts from Kirk himself on topics like safety in the workplace and on the jobsite. He’ll also be moving some of our safety program online.

Video of our Shop

Here is quick video of our shop. Tim’s walking through the shop and taking every opportunity to put in some shameless plugs along the way. Enjoy. We’ll work on the steady hand. Contact us today about your commercial and electrical contracting needs.

An Ounce of Prevention applies to electrical maintenance too

When I say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, you immediately think about your health. Why wouldn’t you? It’s an old health adage right. At Meiners Electric we think it applies to lots of other things too. It applies to your vehicles. Ever try and go too long without changing the oil. It costs a lot more to fix an engine than it does to get an oil change and tuneup.

Well the same logic applies to your electrical systems. Just sitting back and waiting for something to go wrong is probably not the best strategy. Especially when your productivity depends on working systems. So what’s the alternative- you may ask. Well we have an answer. With our state of the art thermal imaging we can scan your current electrical systems and determine possible issues before they go bad. Thus reducing the costs associated with shut downs.

We’ve found many current customers were not aware we offered such a service. Well now you know. Contact us today to set up a maintenance plan for your business. Be the hero in your organization by being proactive and calling us today at 1-866-Meiners.

Below is an example of a mechanical lug that was getting really hot. It was found at a Humana facility. We perform a scan of their electrical equipment and roof each year. We’ll talk more about these services in another post. The key is that issues like this can be detected before they cause major problems.
